What an amazing tour we had!  Eastern Germany is a beautiful part of the world to visit.  We were based in Leipzig, the city of Bach and Mendelssohn and many other musicians, and the place where Goethe wrote Faust (many of us made a pilgrimage to Auerbachs Beer Keller where he actually wrote it).  We had plenty of time to explore Leipzig, and we also visited the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage town of Quedlinburg, Colditz Castle, Dresden and Lutherstadt Wittenberg, where Martin Luther started the Reformation 500 years ago this year.

We gave three memorable concerts in the Stadtkirche St Michael in Jena, the Monastery in Huysberg and in the Festsaal of the Kurhaus in Bad Schmiedeberg (a sort of German version of the Pump Rooms in Bath!).  The audiences were wonderful, large and appreciative.

Here are some photos, and you can listen to two of the complete concerts at the bottom of the page.

You can still read our tour blog here.

Below are the recordings of our concerts in Jena and Bad Schmiedeberg.
